Résumé

Tazzy is hunted for being a t'elf. Kirby is a t'elf hunter tasked with bringing her in. Between them is a lost child and a host of power wielding elementals. Tazzy"Pointed eared thief! Devil reborn! All your kind should die!" With encouragement like this, no wonder t'elfs were prone to skulking in corners and stealing what they needed. And sometimes what they didn't. Orins had little use for those that weren't like them.
They held onto the belief that full-humans, the original species before the Mithra virus hit, were the only ones that deserved to live on planet Earth. I really didn't care about their opinion; except they tended to murder first and ask questions never. T'elfs and elementals, the hybrids born after the virus, were targets of their wrath. All I needed was a little more script and I could disappear to the t'elf sanctuary, Fristad.
And then a young elemental was dropped in my lap and returning her to her kind was becoming no simple task. It turns out she's a target for everyone. Why were orins and hybrids alike trying to capture or kill a child? And why was I involved? Because I'm an idiot. All I need to do is off-load this kid somewhere safe and go about my life. The problem? Finding safety in a world of hunters and prey. KirbyAs a t'elf hunter, it is my job to keep the populace safe from the evil scourge of t'elfs.
The only problem? I have t'elf markings of my own. Born to look like half a devil with none of the powers that come with it. One day I'll earn enough script to adjust my appearance and live fully among my kind, orins. As long as they don't find out what I am before I accomplish this goal. Everything was fine until she showed up. An elemental hunter with more on her mind than hunting. I had no idea what life was like beyond my own until I met her.
She's opened my eyes. But do I care? After all, everyone else's problems aren't mine. I have my own hide to protect. Besides, I'm not really a hybrid. Or am I?
