Teen Shane Conner, living in a deadly apocalyptic world, has reached the security of a military base. She and her friends, stoic survival expert Colton, savvy and popular Dorinda, whip-smart Omar along with his crush and best friend Angel, worldly peacemaker Bailey, reservist badass Zo, as well as sweet and too-cute college baseball player EJ, have all made a dangerous cross country road trip, and should feel safe.
So why don't they? Now trapped on a base that isn't secure, Shane and her crew must find a way to escape, hit the road again for one last journey, fighting Hunters and zombies along the way, and defeat one final foe before they can secure a place they can all call home. A YA-ish apocalyptic story with a healthy twist of romance.
