Résumé

Everyone told you to wait to be discovered. Nobody told you how the money works. You've read the advice. Be confident. Take good photos. Believe in yourself. It's the same page, rewritten a thousand times by people who have never sat on the other side of an agency desk. This book is different, because the person who wrote it has. Lonna Drewes has spent decades in this industry from every seat in the room - as a working model in New York, Europe, and Los Angeles, then as the owner of a modeling agency and a photo production company, where she built the boards, signed the checks, and watched talented people lose careers to things nobody had bothered to explain to them.
Supermodel Secrets is the conversation she wishes someone had given her. Inside, you'll learn:. Why rejection is usually a routing error, not a verdict - and how to find the one booker who can actually sell you. How to shoot agency-ready digitals today, with daylight and a plain wall. Why you can legally hold more than one agent, and how that multiplies your income. The difference between your session fee and your usage fee - and why models who only negotiate the first one are working twice and paid once.
The contract clause that follows you after you leave, and the notice window that traps you for another year. The best-paid job in fashion that almost nobody has heard of, where your measurements matter and your face doesn't. Why your career doesn't expire - it repositions, into a market with better clients and less competitionThe supermodel is the exception this industry is built on top of. The working models hold it up.
They aren't famous. They're booked. And being booked is a far better business than being famous. If you're tired of being sold a fantasy and you'd rather understand the business, start here. Signed. Booked. Paid. In that order - always.
Lonna Drewes is the creator of Signed. Booked. Paid., a multi-volume book and digital series that gives aspiring models, actors, and their families an insider roadmap for navigating the fashion and entertainment industries. Drawing on decades of firsthand experience, she provides practical guidance based on real-world knowledge and a deep understanding of how the industry actually works. Lonna began her professional modeling career as a teenager in New York City before working throughout Europe and later in Los Angeles.
Her experience as a working model laid the foundation for a career that would eventually expand into talent development, production, publishing, technology, and industry education. As a former modeling agency owner, she recruited, developed, and managed talent while gaining extensive knowledge of representation, placement, and career strategy. She later owned and operated a photo production company, working directly with clients, photographers, stylists, and creative teams while gaining insight into the business from multiple perspectives.
Her expertise also extends to apparel fit, sizing consistency, garment development, and fashion technology. Through Global Fashion Data and Global Fashion Tech, she has focused on improving fit accuracy, supporting industry standards, reducing returns, enhancing customer satisfaction, and developing more sustainable solutions. Lonna is also the founder of Global Fashion Publishing, the independent publishing company behind the Signed.
Booked. Paid. series. Through her publishing and consulting work, she is committed to increasing transparency and providing aspiring talent and their families with practical, actionable information. Coming from a fifth-generation family of actors and models whose roots trace back to the silent film era, she brings both historical perspective and modern industry insight to her work. As the mother of professional child models and actors who have grown into adult professionals, she also understands the industry from the unique perspectives of both insider and parent.
She doesn't teach theory. She teaches what actually works.
