Résumé

Utterly delightful, touching and romantic, Summer at Shell Cottage is the perfect summery read from Lucy Diamond, author of the bestselling The Beach Cafe.'Stuffed with guilty secrets and characters you'll root for from the start' - Sunday ExpressA seaside holiday at Shell Cottage in Devon has always been the perfect escape for the Tarrant family. Beach fun, barbecues and warm summer evenings with a cocktail or two - who could ask for more? But this year, everything has changed.
Following her husband's recent death, Olivia is struggling to pick up the pieces. Then she makes a shocking discovery that turns her world upside down. As a busy mum and GP, Freya's used to having her hands full, but a bad day at work has put her career in jeopardy and now she's really feeling the pressure. Harriet's looking forward to a break with her lovely husband Robert and teenage daughter Molly.
But unknown to Harriet, Robert is hiding a secret - and so, for that matter, is Molly .
Lucy Diamond grew up in Nottingham and went to university in Leeds where she studied English Literature. After graduating, she worked in publishing and at the BBC, and in her spare time she began writing children's books under a number of different pen names. Two small children later, an evening class in creative writing motivated her to try a longer piece of fiction and explore some of her own feelings about motherhood.
This eventually became a novel, Any Way You Want Me, and she was thrilled when Pan Macmillan made her an offer of publication. Now the author of fourteen novels and a Sunday Times bestselling author, Lucy writes with warmth and honesty about the joy and surprises, as well as the complications, that love, family and friendships can bring. Lucy now lives in Bath with her husband and three children and writes full-time.
