I enjoyed interviewing others about their work, and I loved to talk about design.
I was confident that I knew a lot about design. #3 I had to figure out how to communicate to my clients what my designs did. I had to answer their questions in a way that made sense to them, not me. I had to express the rationale behind a design using words that would appeal to them and meet their needs. #4 The term user experience designer is a new one that has evolved in meaning over the past decade.
It is all design, and no one knows what they are talking about. The point is that we are all constantly adjusting to the changing attitudes and approaches to creating great stuff.
