Résumé

Please note: This is a companion version & not the original book. Sample Book Insights: #1 I began training dogs in late 1986. I had just completed four years' active service in the Navy, and I looked at this as a chance to pursue my dream of being a dog trainer. However, the experience made the work harder than it should have been. #2 I was only 11 when Lassie went off the air in 1974, and I was 14 when my father went into business for himself.
I was heavily involved in the development of my father's business, and I felt a responsibility that was implied, if not actually spoken, by my parents. #3 I was named Robert Weatherwax like my dad, which meant that I was always going to be associated with the dog training industry. I had been involved with Lassie since I was a kid, and when my father died, I decided to continue training dogs. #4 I have been training dogs privately since the end of my movie dog training years.
I learned to appreciate my current clientele and have always felt that this career was for a bigger purpose than training a dog for a movie that might simply go straight to video.
