Résumé

Please note: This is a companion version & not the original book. Sample Book Insights: #1 The media regularly promotes the idea that animal agriculture is the biggest contributor to climate change. However, this is completely false. #2 In 2020, many people around the world heard the call to reduce or eliminate meat consumption. The proportion of UK meat eaters who reported having reduced or limited the amount of meat they consume rose from 28 percent in 2017 to 39 percent in 2019.
#3 There is no shortage of people arguing for a more balanced and fact-based debate. However, the media continues to focus on the emissions from livestock, instead of the main culprit: fossil fuels. #4 One fact is that 85 percent of global emissions are generated by sources other than animal agriculture. So why are we vilifying farmers and the meat and dairy products they produce. Because it's easy to target, and because people feel guilty about the damage they are doing to the planet, they want to seem like they're doing something positive.
