He argues that whatever is repugnant to the intention of nature is contrary to the will of God. The truth has been obscured by a factious spirit and a failure to recognize the primary authority of the Bible, the decrees of the councils, and the writings of the Fathers. #3 The formal meaning of De Monarchia is worthless.
