Or is it the function of education to prepare us for the whole process of life. We must understand that life is not just a job, an occupation. #2 Education is meant to help you understand the vast expanse of life with all its subtleties, its beauty, and its sorrows and joys.
But education can only do this if it is free of fear. Otherwise, it will never help you discover what is real and what is true. #3 The world is caught up in endless wars, and it is guided by politicians who are always seeking power. The function of education is to give you freedom, not just to conform to the social order. #4 The world is in chaos, and it is up to each individual to respond to that by finding a solution.
If you respond as a Hindu or a Buddhist, a Christian or a communist, your response is very limited. You can only solve the problem if you are not afraid of losing your security.
