Résumé
George Lucas meets Huckleberry Finn meets Treasure Island. An absolutely incredible story of youthful courage, daring space travel, and high adventure. Bobby and Sandra leave the Earth by stowing away on a mission to Mars. They are rescued by an extra-terrestrial from a far-off planet, and from there get mixed up in unbelievable games of outer space politics and intrigue, and crazy escapades that take them to places that no-one could ever possibly dream of.
The pair do battle with evil space pirates, and then take a precious pirate jewel to a massive star on the other side of the universe, where they have it destroyed. But their major exploit comes when they discover the existence of the pirates' hidden prison of human slaves on the outer dwarf planet of Pluto. Bobby and Sandra go to Pluto, where they free the slaves, and make friends with one of them, a young girl named Vermilion.
The intelligent and precocious Vermilion narrates the story, and tells how she, along with Bobby and Sandra, begin to turn the former slave prison into a thriving city. This is the first of several stories about these amazing people, and the reader can look forward to more fantastic adventures.
