However, when she was sixteen, her parents had another future planned for her. A marriage to a young, twenty-two year old warrior, named Mitry. The marriage would not be consummated until he returned from his service to the Pharaoh.
That bought her time and there was a possibility he'd never return. For over four years, she studied the ancient scriptures and moved up in the ranks fulfilling her dream. In those four years, she'd gained status as High Priestess and realized she would never give herself to any man, especially to a man she didn't know. Mitry survived and became one of the Pharaoh's important Generals. With his service up, he came for her.
