Caroline Everson was born in England, moved to Canada when she was three, and now lives in Port Hope, Ontario, with her husband, their cat, and the last of their three children to leave home. She has a BA in Geography. Caroline has great memories of camping when their children were young, sitting around a campfire telling stories and gazing up at the stars. Her first writing success came in Grade 5 when her poem about spring was posted on Mrs.

Of indigenous ancestry that includes Huron, Migmag, and Algonquin connections, she is also a direct descendent of the Choctaw chief Pushmataha. She is inspired by her aboriginal history, and her work reflects a strong spiritual link to the natural world.
