Résumé
In June 2018, Andrew Davie had a ruptured brain aneurysm and subarachnoid hemorrhage. In January 2022, he decided to become a clinical mental health counselor to help others navigate their recoveries from acquired or traumatic brain injuries. That same year his mother was diagnosed with ALS. During the summer of 2023, he moved back in with his parents to be one of his mother's primary caregivers. For the next year and a half, he would take care of her, attend school and an internship, and continue to adjust to an unfamiliar life.
A collection from that period of his life, SOMETIMES A SUPERPOWER is a collection of philosophy, pop culture quotes, and attempts to make sense of what continues to be a surreal experience.
