Something Hungry in the Woods

She belongs in these woods, mysterious though they are. But there's something new in the woods she thought she knew so well. And it's hungry. Obedience, better known as Bitty has lived nearly alone in the New England woods since the death of her parents. Making only brief forays to the nearby logging camp for the purposes of trading, she is neither good at, nor comfortable with other humans. She finds herself oddly and impossibly captivated by a new lumberjack, Mael, who is not at all what he seems.
Is it him, that hungry thing stalking the woods she belongs to?Or is it some Other? Far more horrific and somehow even hungrier.
