Attia knew she would have to marry whoever her father chose for her sooner or later. He was Rome's consul after all, and a political marriage could be quite a valuable weapon in his hands. She just hadn't expected him to marry her off to a savage. Well, some would argue the amazons were closer to romans than most barbarians, that they should be allies, but they weren't romans, and Attia had some difficulty looking past that fact.
It didn't help that Elektra Ariana was one of the most gorgeous women she had ever seen, and Attia felt drawn to her in a way she couldn't explain. She tried to ignore that attraction for as long as she could, but when they were attacked by pirates, the two of them got stranded on a deserted island, and Attia has to depend on the amazon for survival.
