After a distinguished career in computer science and writing and editing non-fiction book and articles, this 71-year-old grandfather is venturing into new literary territory with his debut science fiction novel for middle-grade readers. Inspired by his grandson, he crafts a story following a group of young adventurers that aims to spark scientific curiosity and critical thinking in a new generation.
Concerned about society's drift away from scientific principles, he hopes his work will inspire young readers to explore the sciences while enjoying an engaging story. This transition from established non-fiction author to science fiction storyteller represents both a personal passion project in retirement and a mission to kindle scientific wonder in tomorrow's thinkers.
