One year ago today, Samantha Boone and John Romero were brought face to face with an otherworldly evil. As the bodies of families, friends, and fellow citizens were being discovered all over town, it seemed all was lost. As the sole survivors of the media dubbed "Mime Murders",  John and Samantha had been the number one suspects. Though they were quickly cleared of all charges, the damage had been done.
No longer feeling welcome in the town they grew up in, they left Riverside behind. It had been long enough for things to start getting back to normal, despite the blood that still stained the streets. Most folks were eager to pick up the pieces and move on. Others lived in fear that the evil would come home.  *** From the moment an otherworldly parasite forcibly possessed his body, Ryker Jenkins had been having one hell of a bad day.
For thirty long years he'd catered to its inhuman whims, losing what remained of his sanity along the way.  After eating damn near half the town in one night, the creature was finally defeated. Ryker's long awaited rest had been granted. Unfortunately, his peace would be short-lived. Exactly one year to the day, the creature's legion-like voice filled Ryker's head once more. His decaying body would be propelled through the sewers beneath Riverside on a quest for vengeance.
