Résumé

Richard's dream of a career on Wall Street after graduation is crushed when Japan bombs Pearl Harbor and throws the US into WWII. He meets Betsy, the pragmatic and alluring actress waiting for her big break, and Carolyn who pulls his heart in another direction. The war changes all of their lives as they are confronted with reality, love and heartache. The prequel to MY HANDS HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY weaves the tale leading to a revelation for one.
The mother to two young men; our experiences with family and friends have rekindled a passion to put stories to paper. This story is inspired by the beauty of sign language introduced to me by my deaf niece. This is my third novel, following numerous short stories. I am currently drafting the second part of this series; taking a step back in time during WWII and the romance between Richard and Carolyn Moeller.
I have been a member of Writer's League of Texas for four years and attendee of The Agent and Editor Conference. My most recent writing experiences range from contributions to Austin Wide Open and Real Simple Magazines; as well as, corporate communications to the publication of company Management Development and Training manuals over the past fifteen years. I attended the University of Texas and the University of Southern Colorado with degrees in English and Social Sciences, and Business Administration.
