Résumé

Kevin and Mary are close neighbors of Steve and Helen, with whom they share a seemingly friendly relationship. However, Kevin and Mary often have loud marital fights. During these times, Helen, ever compassionate, offers Mary a place to stay at her home. Steve, a wealthy businessman, recently underwent heart surgery and is still recovering. He and Helen have a 22-year-old son, Mike-an innocent, naive young man who has yet to mature.
Steve dreams of bringing Mike into the family business, but Mike has shown little interest or readiness. Suddenly, Steve begins experiencing repeated provocations by a man named Boris. At first, Steve brushes them off as coincidences, but the disturbances become more frequent and targeted, clearly intended to worsen his fragile health. Then, seemingly out of nowhere, Mike announces that he's ready to join the business.
Overjoyed, Steve makes him an equal partner. But things quickly take a dark turn-large sums of money begin to disappear from the company, and all signs point to Mike. Before Steve can confront him, Mike vanishes without a trace. Devastated and betrayed, Steve begins digging for answers. His investigation leads him to a shocking discovery: during one of Mary's sleepovers at his house, she planted forged adoption papers-documents falsely claiming that Mike is not Steve's biological son, but the son of a criminal named Ken Trapagosta.
Steve uncovers the truth: Kevin and Mary manipulated Mike into believing he wasn't truly part of the family. Under the influence of Ken, Mike was coerced into stealing from his own father. But Steve, despite the emotional blow, manages to track down the stolen money and expose the elaborate conspiracy. With calculated precision, Steve orchestrates a powerful revenge. Kevin and Mary are arrested for their crimes, and Steve ensures they face justice.
He also confronts his son, teaching him a painful but necessary lesson about trust, manipulation, and maturity. In the end, Mike realizes just how deeply he was deceived-and how much he took for granted. Steve, though scarred, finds a measure of closure, having protected both his legacy and his son's future.
