In a near-infinite universe, the chance of life forming on more than one planet is near absolute. so it seems. The crew aboard the spaceship Vulxaris believe it, as they're on a mission beyond our solar system, certain to return with proof that we're not alone. On the first exoplanet, Proxima Centauri b, they dig up ground samples, collect air samples, and study their compositions with eager expectation.
But they're only left concluding that the planet is lifeless. They venture to the next exoplanet holding out hope, only to find the same unyielding lifelessness. With each new planet shattering their reality, the crew finds themselves falling down a dark spiral of cold, empty desperation. But even in the depths of the void, there shines a light that will bring them a new understanding, reform them, and guide them home safely.
