Finding the human condition and our antics endlessly fascinating, I tend to write 'slice of life' pieces about moments, situations, interactions, personalities - most often with some amount of humor or irony, always with wonder. The subject or subjects are frequently lgbtq, w/w, to the degree it matters, since people are people, stories are stories.

Résumé
Can exes be friends? Is there a way to move past, let go of long held assumptions, even of the break up itself? Will there be anything on the other side? Find out in short story Shelter. From Shelter (how they first met):.She looked great, dressed up for a date. That part was a little awkward. The other woman didn't seem her type at all, a basketball player, tall, toothy, checking to see who was looking at her half the time.
I thought they left, but when I stopped at the bar for a drink I almost stepped on Cara's manicured red toes in some very cute mules. Turning to apologize I found the light, bright blue eyes smiling at me. "Oh, sorry. Hey, you're Bianca's friend - ""Yes, " cheeks flush from her drink - which was also a surprise."Is that a Manhattan?""It is. My joke to myself." The bar was called 'New York Louie's'"Huh."Lowering her eyes, "you think it's silly."k"No.
Creative. Kinda cool you take the time to play like that.""I spent a lot of time making other people happy, now - " blushing, "never mind, you don't want to hear about that.""I kind of do, " I surprise myself saying it, "but I have another set, " pointing to the stage. .
