Brandon Flesher was born in Shawnee Mission, Kansas City, Kansas, and raised in Moline, Illinois. After receiving his paramedic license and working briefly as a paramedic, he moved from the hot and humid Gulf Coast of Alabama to the other extreme of the weather spectrum in Minnesota, where he currently lives with his dog. Brandon's love of reading began at an early age with stories like King Arthur and His Knight of the Round Table as well as Greek and Shakespearean plays.
Within his own writing, he see reflections of the song-like flow and meter present in those plays, and he regards Goethe, Nietzsche, and Kierkegaard to be among his biggest influences. While not sure where his poetry came from, exactly, Brandon has always been intrigued by how words can have multiple meanings depending on their context within a sentence or verse. And in his poems, he often sets up ambiguity by using words that can have varying meanings, somewhat like how life's experiences can be interpreted differently depending on how one experiences them.
