Cole's cousin Nathan has always been a strange individual. Freeloading in a run down trailer on his family's farm in rural Vermont, it seems nobody has ever questioned Nathan's past, let alone acknowledged his existence, except Cole. Though, during an unusually honest conversation one evening, Nathan reluctantly opens up to Cole about his past, involving his affinity for skateboarding. Cole takes a liking to his cousin's hobby and uses it as a way to bond with him, later starting a secret skate society with his cousin and two best friends, Zach and Jay.
The group spends their nights skating, tagging, pulling pranks, and everything in between. Cole enjoys his new double life, and being able to share it with his friends and cousin. Things couldn't be better among the secret skate society, until one night, a violent storm hits their small town, and every resident of it, including Nathan, spontaneously goes missing. It's up to Cole and his friends to sift through the fog and unveil the mystery of everybody's whereabouts, whilst also uncovering dark secrets about his small town, family, friends, and possibly himself in the process.
