This is book 8 of the Eternal Flames Maddox series, you should read Eternal Flames 1-11 and book 1-7 of Eternal Flames Maddox before this book. When his mate is returned to him from death, by the gods, Destrain is thrilled, but it seems like his beloved Clove doesn't feel the same way. Clove is distant and seems to be hiding things from him.
