No ransom is requested, and the police do little except quietly blame the parents for letting a once-gay man nanny their two sons. The boys' parents' frustration grows until help is offered from a strange quarter. Their teenage daughter, Stephanie, runs into an old friend, Jess Rosen, and they go out for pizza.
