Michael Schumacher is the greatest F1 driver of his generation. At the time of his retirement, he held records for the most wins, pole positions and podium finishes, and he still holds the record for the highest number of fastest laps. He won two world championships with Benetton before moving to Ferrari where he won their first Championship in 21 years in 2000. He would go on to win the next four consecutive titles.
However, in 2013 he sustained a traumatic brain injury whilst skiing. He was induced into a six-month coma and hasn't been seen in public since.
