Rob Laidlaw is the founder and director of Zoocheck, an international wildlife protection charity established in 1984. During the past 30 years, he has been involved in a wide range of animal protection initiatives from Canada's north to tropical Asia. He is a Chartered Biologist and an award-winning author of numerous children's books on animal issues. He lives in Toronto but spends a lot of his time traveling the world.
