Bullying is a choice. Bullying occurs everywhere, even in the highest-performing schools, and is hurtful to everyone involved, from the targets of bullying to the people watching, and even to the bullies themselves. It is a crisis facing students nationwide. There is no doubt that the bullying described in this story is a typical high school incident that goes from a harmless incident to one that can change a person's life forever.
Brandy takes us along on her journey from being bullied in middle school to her determination to change as a means to stop the bullying. While silently watching the harm a bully can inflict, she witnesses not only a change in herself, but tragedy in others.
