Résumé
For once, Savage's problems seem to be of his own making-nightmares from his past threaten to interrupt not only his sleep but his relationship with Freya. To deal with his demons while Freya and Saga go on their European tour, Savage heads to rural Maine, where he's acquired an old camp on several acres of land. There, he figures, he'll work through his past while he engages in quiet, personal pursuits like remodeling, cooking, and gardening.
Fate has other ideas. Savage isn't the only one who appreciates the beauty of Maine's rugged landscape. Developers are interested in building the next high-end resort, and when local residents don't want to sell their land, their efforts turn deadly. It's up to Savage to organize a disparate group of suspicious locals into a coherent opposition to outsiders willing to use far more than money to get what they want.
