Prince Satni-Khamoîs has learned that taking the Book of Thoth was a serious mistake. The powerful book, said to contain ancient wisdom from Thoth, never belonged to him. It belonged in the tomb of Prince Nenoferkephtah, whose family had already suffered because of it. Humbled by everything he has experienced, Satni returns to the tomb and gives the book back. But his work is not finished. Nenoferkephtah asks Satni to travel to Coptos and bring home the resting places of Ahuri and their child, Maîhêt, so the family can finally be together.
Satni sails along the Nile, searches with priests, repairs what is damaged, and keeps his promise.
