Sanctuary is the second book in The Queendoms Trilogy. It is the sixth novel in The Queendoms Series that begins with The Califia Trilogy (Rebellion, The Hunt, Queen of Califia), and continues with Second Bond and The Queendoms Trilogy (Homestead, Sanctuary, To the Farthest Shore). The aftermath of the homestead men's attack on Madrona destabilizes the queendom, and the discovery of a traitor in the castle further damages the relationship between Queen Lilith and Prince Adam, as the fate of Githa and the Oak Vale temple hangs in the balance.
