Violet's reunion with an old flame is interrupted by a desperate cry for help: someone abducted and tried to rape local celebrity and devout Christian Bethany Williams. Religious tensions fly in the aftermath as the Veil sheriff's department searches for suspects among Bethany's church congregation.
