Philippe Tiémassa-Grey est né le 12 janvier 1988 à Jacqueville, en Côte d'Ivoire. Amoureux de la littérature, il commence à écrire dès l'âge de 10 ans et ne s'est plus arrêté depuis. Grâce à son talent pour l'écriture, il est recruté en 2013 au cabinet de la Première dame de Côte d'Ivoire, Madame Dominique Ouattara. En 2017, le média panafricain Financial Afrik le considère comme l'un des jeunes les plus influents du pays. Le recueil poétique Safaola est son premier ouvrage.
