Résumé

Carole Hanson has always wanted a brother or sister. So she should be delighted when her father tells her that thirteen-year-old Marie Dana will be staying with them for two weeks while Mrs. Dana is out of town. But instead of being happy about her "temporary sister", Carole can barely contain her jealousy. Colonel Hanson is making a big fuss over Marie; and Stevie and Lisa are planning a big party for Marie in the hay loft at Pine Hollow.
Will Carole manage to put aside her jealousy before Marie's visit is over? Not until she discovers some common ground in the stables at Pine Hollow.
Bonnie Bryant is the author of over a hundred books about horses, including The Saddle Club series, Saddle Club Super Editions, and the Pony Tails series. She has also written novels and movie novelizations under her married name, B. B. Hiller. Bonnie began writing The Saddle Club in 1986. Although she had done some riding before that, she intensified her studies then and found herself learning right along with her characters Stevie, Carole and Lisa.
She claims that they are all much better riders than she is. Bonnie was born and raised in New York City, where she continues to live today.
