Résumé
One of the grand and best kept secrets of the Christian Faith is The Sabbath. Yet before we launch in to the deep to study further the Sabbath; here is a basic thesis to further analyze the intricate facets of the keeping and ending of the Sabbath. The Sabbath though mentioned as early as the second chapter of the first book of the Holy Bible being Genesis remains a mystery that many are yet to unravel.
This mostly being owed to or being the product of the revelation given by/to Prophet Moses; the Lord did not indwell the reason why He and Adam and Eve had to meet only on Saturdays being once a week. Moses just says the Lord finished His work and so rested and established the day a Sabbath; because He rested on the day. Genesis 2:2-3 KJV And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made. Moses simply says He rested from the work that He had made. He does not elaborate further that God Himself did go in to separation even in heaven. One has to look carefully that with man being only a day old; God instantly goes in to Sabbath; a thing that means He takes a leave of absence from the matters of earth; except for His once a week visit.
He does not just separate self from the earthlings only; but also from others who are in heaven.
