He actively cultivated a collaborative leadership that included both Tutsi and Hutu, along with influential industrialists, all united by a shared commitment to realize his ambitious aspirations.
However, following the tragic loss of Rwigema, Paul Kagame seized control of the RPF, systematically undermining Rwigema's ideals through savage warfare. The dream of a harmonious, democratic Rwanda-rooted in inclusive leadership and economic collaboration-was effectively obliterated. Moreover, Kagame unleashed a wave of terror against Rwigema's family, driven by a deep-seated insecurity concerning Rwigema's enduring legacy.
