Résumé

In a small Maine fishing village, some debts can never be repaid... Spring has finally arrived in Harborview, and Tammy Harper's Daily Catch Café is buzzing with talk of the annual fishing derby and wedding plans of her own. But the festive mood shatters when retired harbor pilot Stanley Simon is found dead in his workshop. The medical examiner says electrocution. The town assumes it's a tragic accident.
But Tammy knows that a man who spent fifty years working with boats and electrical systems wouldn't make a fatal mistake with his own equipment. Stanley's second wife Margaret just passed the five-year mark on a prenup that left her nothing-and now inherits everything. His former business partner Victor Frankel lost his retirement, his reputation, and his future when Stanley forced him out fifteen years ago.
Neighbor Amanda Cross has been fighting a bitter lawsuit over dock access, only to discover Stanley fabricated the documents to steal her land. And Stanley's estranged son Roger suddenly reconnected three months ago-right when his father's health problems made inheritance a pressing concern. When Tammy discovers that Stanley had been looking over his shoulder in his final weeks-and that someone with intimate knowledge of his workshop made his death look like an accident-she realizes this was murder, carefully planned by someone who'd been waiting years for revenge. Armed with strong coffee, her talent for reading people, and the steady support of her fiancé Sawyer Grant, Tammy unravels a web of business betrayals, fabricated evidence, and a grudge that festered for fifteen years.
But in a close-knit community where everyone remembers everything, the killer's patience may have been their greatest weapon.
