Résumé

In the year 2250, the world is in chaos as a rogue planet hurtles dangerously towards Earth, threatening to extinguish all life on the planet. With no other option but to flee, mankind turns to the Bertram Ramsay, a colossal space station designed to shelter nine million people and safeguard the future of humanity. Jaxon Leith, an ordinary inhabitant of Earth, finds himself chosen as one of the fortunate few to board the Bertram Ramsay.
But his journey to salvation takes an unexpected turn when he is sent to Compression, a gruelling three-month internment camp where he must learn to adapt to the rigours of life and work in space. Lurking in the shadows are the Acolytes of Gaia, an enigmatic and formidable group of zealots that has surreptitiously infiltrated the highest echelons of governments and corporations worldwide. Their malevolent objective? To obliterate the Bertram Ramsay, dooming all living beings on Earth in the process. As Jaxon immerses himself in his training, he becomes unwittingly embroiled in a world of subterfuge, terrorism, espionage, and murder.
The Acolytes of Gaia are determined to dismantle the last hope of humanity, and they will stop at nothing to achieve their twisted goals. In a high-stakes race against time, Jaxon must navigate through a treacherous web of deception and confront a ruthless, invisible adversary. As he delves deeper into the secrets and machinations of the Acolytes, Jaxon discovers shocking truths about the zealots' origins and the sinister motives that drive them.
With the fate of humankind hanging in the balance, he must summon all his courage, intelligence, and resilience to stand against an enemy that seems one step ahead at every turn. In "Rogue, " author Danny Lenihan weaves a gripping tale of survival, sacrifice, and the indomitable spirit of humanity. Will Jaxon unravel the mysteries that threaten to destroy the last vestiges of hope, or will the malevolent Acolytes of Gaia succeed in plunging Earth into eternal darkness? The countdown has begun, and the fate of mankind rests in the hands of one unlikely hero.

À propos de l'auteur

Biographie de Danny Lenihan

Award-winning product designer and entrepreneur Danny Lenihan was born in West London, raised in Chessington and now lives in the Shires with his two children, Evie and George, a smattering of Hobbits and the occasional wallaby. A former press photographer and stand-up comedian, Danny spends his days designing for his two global brands, 3 Legged Thing and Morally Toxic. A passionate writer, Danny has contributed to several books (actually one, but he bought two copies) prior to penning his own, and has had articles published worldwide.
He has written for TV, film and radio, and hosts his own, utterly childish, comedy podcast. Previously a finalist in the Great British Entrepreneur Awards, Danny shot to notoriety in the photographic industry when he launched his own tripod brand, 3 Legged Thing in 2010. Defying convention and focusing on innovation and engineering, Danny's designs are widely considered to be the industry benchmark in camera support technology, winning the prestigious Lucie Technical Award in 2017. For more than a decade, Danny ruined the world as a stand-up comedian, during which time he featured and starred in three British horror movies (in which he died four times, a record only recently beaten by Tom Cruise in 'Edge of Tomorrow': Tom cheated though.) and was a frequent panellist and contributor to BBC Radio.
Danny composed the musical score to Pat Higgins' debut horror movie, Trashhouse. He can also speak to cats.
