Résumé
Robert Vishniak is the favored son of Oxford Circle, a working-class Jewish neighborhood in 1970s Philadelphia. Robert Vishniak va tout faire pour sortir de sa condition populaire. Il a avec lui la beauté, l'intelligence et la farouche volonté d'y arriver ; mais les grandes ascensions entraînent souvent les grandes chutes...
Un roman passionnant sur les États-Unis des années 60 et le fameux rêve américain.

Ce très joli livre décrit la trajectoire de vie d'un jeune américain qui rêve d(évoluer dans un milieu social plus élevé que le sien. Le personnage principal, décrit avec justesse, est très attachant.
