Love Dream No. 3 ("O lieb, so lang du lieben kannst") by F. Liszt is among the best-known works in piano literature. This notturno was written in 1850 and, due to its cantabile melody performed a in sonorous middle register, has an immediate effect on performers and listeners alike. The piano repertoire is vast, containing many other beautiful pieces. Under the title of "Liebestraum" (Love Dream), the present anthology contains 50 of the finest classical original piano pieces written by 22 composers from the Baroque, Classical, Romantic and modern eras.
These perennial favourites, which are all of medium difficulty, are ideally suited for advanced pupils, students, adults returning to the instrument, and all lovers of classical music. This is a 'treasure trove' for piano tuition and recreational music-making.
