Rent a Santa

Although the time has finally come to explain to Alex that Santa Claus does not exist, Veronika and Carl still want to spend one very last Christmas with him believing in that magic. Veronika in particular, a perfectionist in every aspect of her life, desperately clings to this absurd idea and stops at nothing to put her plan into action, even though she herself is already on the brink of a nervous breakdown.
But organizing this celebration is anything but easy, because Alex begins to have doubts, and everyone is more cautious than ever before. Thus begins a mad race against time in which everything must be perfect down to the smallest detail in order to prove the impossible to their son and make the magic of this final Christmas unforgettable forever. But where are they supposed to find someone willing to take on the role of Santa Claus just a few days before the holiday? Although Veronika resists the idea with every fiber of her being, there is only one possible solution: Oskar, their despised neighbor-a drunkard and a shabby man from the neighborhood.
His unkempt, foul-smelling appearance alone drives her to the edge of madness. Whether Veronika and Carl will actually carry their crazy plan through to the end, or ultimately fail because of their own convictions, remains uncertain until the very last moment. One thing, however, is certain: for all of them, these will be Christmas holidays they will never forget.
