Résumé

Recovering from the skirmish with the Rumstuck, the Thresher now traveling in disputed Rellian space is en route to the Naitstirhc Mining Colony. Petty Officer Tahir Marcus is hopeful he can complete his current mission until his Alliance superiors demand his immediate return to face charges on Terra Nine. Focused on securing the Ciaranian contract at all costs and gaining a deeper foothold in the quadrant, the Alliance will do anything to get this deal finalized even at Petty Officer Marcus's expense.
Falsely accused of assassinating Ambassador Remi Marfla of Proxima 3 and Doctor Renesco of the Varissi governing body, Marcus faces this new dilemma with few allies and fewer friends. Taking drastic measures to clear his name, Tahir resigns his position and sets off for Rellia Prime, home of the Rellian Fleet. With Warrant Officer Leesa Shanize of Efreesia by his side, he plans to rescue the one person who might be able to set things right, Admiral Garrett LaShay.
If there weren't already enough challenges, committing an act of violence is the only way to get to LaShay, and there are no guarantees there will be a way out. Will Tahir's efforts be for naught, or will he put himself in an even more desperate and unwinnable situation that could cost him his life and his very identity?Warning: This book contains adult content especially with language and violence.
Not suitable for younger readers.
