Reinforcing the Foundations: Expositions on God, Sin, Salvation, and Service

Disciples of Jesus are regularly called to show in real life that the biblical outlook responds to human needs in a way that other views do not. But as we address humanity's many concerns, we must not lose sight of the core truths that provide the basis for the confidence and vitality we can show the world.  Briefly stated, these core truths affirm that God took the initiative through the work of Jesus Christ to rescue humanity from the sin that separates us from him and taught us how to serve faithfully in our restored relationship with him. Reinforcing the Foundations is a collection of textual studies that call readers to see God clearly, take the power of sin seriously, experience the joy of salvation fully, and renew our commitment to service.  Each chapter encourages readers to think more deeply about its specific theme in the hope that they will seek out other texts that emphasize it and further deepen their understanding of God, sin, salvation, and service.
