Résumé

"To have a full and knowledgeable grasp on the present and future......one must look to the past."The Asaan al-Atollen have been restored to their golden age. With the corrupt Reverend Mother Diadra Maurian now completely overthrown and her favored subordinate, Malina Varkallas, now having taken the mantle of the Sirens' leader instead-alongside her lover Quanaris Veilstar-the future looks bright for Quisillon's protectors, with both women and men being granted equal opportunities to practice magic should they so choose.
But it isn't long before unrest and distress comes calling once again. The long-lost region of Jal-Topu-thought to have been irreparably destroyed by Quisillon's sworn adversaries, the Wyrmriders, towards the end of the harrowing Dragonsbane Wars-has recently fallen under discussion, with many Quisillians voicing their desires to potentially see it restored if possible. Though Malina and the Asaan al-Atollen remain skeptical, things change once the neighboring continent of Xorgali, ruled by King Temenos Garai, presents a deposit of time-lost ore to the renewed Sirens as a peacemaking gift; an ore which appears to rewind time and may be the secret to Jal-Topu's restoration and revival.
With a chance to revive an extinct civilization at hand, Malina, Quanaris, and their friends set out to take this precious opportunity. But can the past truly be changed......or only learnt from?Disclaimer: This novel contains severe instances of intense violence, depictions of mass death, and at least two extensive scenes of descriptive and explicit romance between the two lead characters. It is not intended for anyone below eighteen years of age.
