Interdisziplinäre Kooperationen zwischen Theologie und Erziehungswissenschaft sind heutzutage alles andere als selbstverständlich. Die Beiträge des Bandes illustrieren demgegenüber, wie die theologische und die pädagogische Perspektive bei der Erhellung der Transformationsprozesse der Menschenbilder und Lebenswirklichkeiten in der Reformation und ihrer formativen Auswirkungen auf individuelle Selbstdeutungen und soziale Strukturbildungen in der Neuzeit einander wechselseitig inspirieren und fruchtbar ergänzen können.
