Résumé

Deep in a forest on Cape Breton Island, an eccentric woman lives alone, tending to her crops and secrets. When she is brutally murdered, detectives are puzzled about a motive until they delve into her past to uncover what she had hidden for many years. Acting Sergeant Gordie MacLean realizes his team members are in over their heads. Torn between empowering them and taking over the investigation, MacLean must ensure they stop the killer before they strike again, even if it means sacrificing his career and friendships.
