Résumé

Realms Apart, Volume II: The Breaking PointShe thought Derek was gone forever. Now, as she watches him survive the unsurvivable, Eva faces a truth that shatters everything she believed about loyalty, power, and love. Derek didn't break under torture that would have destroyed anyone else. Not because of magic or bonds forcing his hand-but because of her. Eva always knew he was loyal. She never understood why it mattered so much.
Now she does. Volume II explodes where the first left off: Eva hunted. Derek, broken and enslaved. Calder, trapped in a war that demands everything from him. And Ceann Olc-the monster who orchestrated it all-poised to reshape both worlds with a power that makes him nearly unstoppable. The armada burns. Armies clash. Magic clashes against bullets. And Eva discovers that survival means losing the one person she can't afford to lose.
But here's what changes everything: the bond between Eva and Derek was never about magic. Not like her blood bond with Calder. What Derek offers-unwavering presence, chosen loyalty, love with no strings attached-forces Eva to confront feelings she spent her entire life running from. And in the middle of a war where everyone has hidden agendas, Derek's simple, honest devotion becomes the rarest power of all.
For returning readers, this volume delivers the emotional payoff you've been waiting for. Watch Eva's walls come down. See Derek transform from the "hired help" into someone whose strength matches his heart. And prepare yourself for a sacrifice so profound it rewrites everything you thought you knew about bonding magic, power, and what it truly means to be someone's family. For newcomers, this is the volume where the stakes became personal.
Yes, you can jump in here-the world-building is rich enough to carry you-but you'll understand immediately why Volume I mattered. You'll feel why Eva's desperation to save Derek isn't just plot. It's the entire emotional core of why this story matters. The war for both worlds intensifies. Magic wars with technology. Love confronts duty. And Eva must choose between the bonded life she was born into and the chosen family she's fighting to protect.
This isn't just the continuation of Realms Apart. It's the volume where everything fractures-and where the pieces finally reveal what was broken all along. Realms Apart, Volume II: Now available. Don't wait for the spoilers. Live it first.
Jonathan is avid reader and writer of the fantasy and sci-fi genres. He has been writing and drawing since he was a teenager, and finally turned his dream into a reality. His first novel "Blood Bonded" was published in 2021, and is the first book in the Portal and Key Chronicles Trilogy. The novels take place in the magical Realm of Faetir, a world of his own making and rich with detail--and sarcasm.
In real life, Jonathan plays a much more serious role as a law enforcement officer, which was a natural progression after his military service. He is a father and husband and enjoys the solitude of quiet mornings and vacationing with family. You can find more information on his books at www.jonathantsalisbury.com
