Résumé

What's a witch to do when the spirits drop the definition of tall, dark, and handsome, not to mention his cute as hell cat that I can't help but fall in love with, into her path? Work together on a blasted history paper, apparently. The closer we get to finding answers, the more questions we find ourselves asking. And this effing paper isn't the only history we're going to have to set straight... because everyone knows that magic comes with a price, but even we can't predict the true cost of our ancestral lineage's gifts.
Author's Note: The Salem Witch Trials are a legitimate historical event, and Bridget Bishop was one of the first to be accused and executed. Though the following pages are based in history both written and oral, this is where fact ends and storytelling begins. All persons, places, events, political statements, characterizations of historical figures, and other elements of this story, including the origin of witchcraft and the tribal ties to it, are either a figment of the author's imagination or a fictionalized account of something that none of us were present for to dispute.
Please proceed with the understanding that this story was created, in part, as a reminder of the horrors of prejudice and that one who does not learn from history will indeed be doomed to repeat it.
