Résumé

In the autumn of 1984, a weary novelist named Elias Laurent arrives in the quiet European town of Rainvelle after watching his life slowly collapse in Paris. Exhausted by failure, loneliness, and the pressure of becoming someone the world admired but never truly understood, he intends to disappear for a while - nothing more. Then he walks into Saint Claire Café on a rainy night. There, beneath amber lights and the sound of old jazz, Elias meets Helena Weiss, a quiet pianist carrying grief of her own.
Their connection does not arrive loudly or suddenly. It grows through late-night conversations, shared silences, handwritten pages, coffee after midnight, and the gentle realization that sometimes broken people understand each other best. As winter deepens over Rainvelle, Elias slowly rediscovers parts of himself he believed were long gone - honesty, warmth, and the ability to love without pretending.
But when the past returns from Paris demanding his attention once more, both Elias and Helena are forced to confront a painful truth:love is not about saving someone from life -it is about choosing to stay beside them while life continues anyway. Rainvelle is a warm and deeply emotional romance about loneliness, healing, second chances, and the quiet beauty of ordinary love. Set against the nostalgic atmosphere of 1980s Europe, this novel tells the story of two exhausted souls who accidentally become each other's home.
