Queens Table is an intervention for women who forgot who they are. This book is an inspiration and a self-help guide for women to love themselves first. A reminder that validation from men is not needed. Women are no longer stressing and suffering from the emotional roller coaster that we allow our self to go though. Yeah, we all been hurt a time or three but when are we going to take accountability for allowing it? This is a wake up call to all women; we are now holding each other accountable.
Calling out some of the things us women allow men to do to us. We knew that man wasn't right from the beginning and still choose to date him. No, that doesn't justify what they put us through, but we need to think about the type of men we are attracted to. We need to set boundaries and stop falling for the okey-doke. A fat Johnson and a couple of dollars shouldn't substitute for the lack of common sense.
This book will not spare your feelings and it is not filled with a bunch of motivational quotes. It is the brutal truth and the truth hurts. This book was written because I got tired of seeing my beauty Queens going through the same bull crap over and over. You are too smart and beautiful to be letting someone's son make you feel like you ain't ish. Looking at yourself like you ugly, insecure, too big, too small, looking all crazy cause you cursed out the whole family.
